Get to Know Dr. Helen Sergerie

Dr. Sergerie’s career in dentistry spans over two full decades so far, with around half of that time spent right here at Sagewood Dental Group in The Woodlands. What she enjoys most about her job is being able to develop such close friendships with her patients over time, as well as witnessing the genuine happiness and joy that a smile transformation can create! Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Sergerie is originally from Quebec, Canada – French is actually her native language! However, she graduated from the English-speaking McGill University in Montreal with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1994. She then went on to obtain her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from (the French-speaking) Laval University in Quebec City in 1998. She has lived and worked in the greater Houston area since 1999.

What Kind of Advanced Dental Training Do You Have?

Dr. Sergerie is very passionate about staying up to date with the latest and greatest dental technologies and materials in the field for the sake of her patients. She has attended several advanced courses through Spear Education, studying under the expertise of Dr. Frank Spear.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Sergerie has two active children who keep her very busy outside of the dental office. Her other hobbies include taking care of her chickens and two Great Pyrenees dogs, tending to her large garden, listening to music, kayaking, reading, archery, and visiting historic sites. One of her goals for the future is to hopefully pilot a small airplane one day!
